I'm sure you're wondering what sets us apart from the rest... and what are Aura by Portia candles made of? Let's start with the vessel... with all of the supply chain shortages, we decided to create our own sustainable and renewable concrete vessels. We hand mix and pour our concrete and once demolded, seal the inside with a plant and eco-friendly sealant.
The vessel embellishments are hand-painted and gemstone chips are applied. [Side note: we also offer these as planters if you want to skip the wax cleanup!] And if you prefer just the concrete vessel without gemstones, our Chill candles and planters should be just what you need.

We use wooden wicks, that provide a gentle, safe and relaxing flickering effect as the wax from the candle heats and melts. They also distribute the perfect amount of fragrance and provide a subtle campfire crackle... SoOoOoOo relaxing!
For added safety, sustainability and renewability, we decided to use ethically sourced, cruelty-free 100% natural soy blend wax paired with warm vanilla fragrance as the base. Soybean wax is more widely available has a longer burn time, creates less soot and emits fewer toxins when burned especially compared to paraffin wax. Soy wax has a naturally off-white color that looks amazing on its own as displayed in our simple candles. It also has a lower melting point than many of the other waxes making it easier to burn in cooler environments or during the colder winter seasons. Our simple candles skip the extra enhancers added on top of the wax
